Today’s theme for Photography 101 is connect.
A trip to the post office this day in age is typically a mundane chore. A visit usually involves picking up stamps, or opening your box to find a stack of bills—if you’re lucky, you might have a parcel from Amazon.
In my village, the post office is a hub of activity. I always run into someone I know there. For instance, the woman in this photo is my former neighbour. She just happened to be coming out of the front door while I was on the sidewalk taking photos for this assignment. We don’t see each other much since she moved to the other side of the lake. We had a nice little conversation at the bottom of those stairs. It was great to re-connect with her this morning.
