Project 365—Week 5

My tree peony puts on an incredible show for one week each year. This was its week! I thought about making it the subject for my project 365 every day that it was in bloom, but as you can see, I went with just three.

    • Thanks! That little furry creature was number 3 of 5 squirrels trapped on my back step that day (and relocated miles away.) Two more were trapped following day. Oh, and Moe caught one while he was out on his leash with my mother. They are a real nuisance this year.

      • He’s the ideal cat… Mine only once hunted down a spider in the flat and curled it into a ball with her paws, so I had to finish the poor creature. RIP. She’s happy with flies in the flat, unlike me, but she never catches any. Perhaps I need to feed her less 😉

      • Last night, Moe leaped in the air and caught a fly between his front paws and then ate it. He may be taking the hunting instinct a little too far these days. All day long he’s looking for something, anything, to chase.

  1. Just (very recently) started my own Project 365 postings. I like your way of doing this — by week rather than one each day. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Consider yourself flattered. I’m going to start that once my first full week of postings are complete.

Lovely photos!! I especially liked ‘trouble’ and your pink peony bud!

    • I just checked out your project 365. I’m glad you jumped on board. I hope the weekly update works well for you. I really like doing it this way. My week is Friday-Thursday and I post it here on my blog on Sunday. That gives me plenty of time to upload, edit, and create the post. I do upload to flicker (almost) every day, but it’s not “a must”. As long as I take a photo a day, and post my update on Sunday, I’m happy with myself.
