    • Thanks! Would you believe that after 9 months with my camera, I still only have the kit lens? Sad, I know. Whenever I do get around to getting another lens, it will most likely be a macro lens. What lenses do you have? Do you have a favourite?

      • Well you use it beautifully! I mostly use the kit lens too which is my 18-135mm. My boyfriend gave me his 50mm which I like to use sometimes too, esp. for pics of flowers or some portraits, but that’s it!

      • I thought about getting a 50mm too. It’s a relatively inexpensive lens, and it takes lovely photos. I live pretty far away from any stores that sell lenses, which is a good thing, I guess…no impulse buys. lol

  1. My hatred for butterflies (I don’t differentiate them from insects) doesn’t prevent me from appreciating your stunning butterfly shot. Also, I want your purple shoes. And the terrace. Also, the bokeh rock…

    • That butterfly kept coming to visit me in the backyard. Then, one day, I went out and found it dead. 😦 Right after that, a different type of butterfly, also with torn wings, started visiting me in the front yard.

  2. Ironically butterflies are a symbol of resurrection, hope, joy, and new beginnings. It is a symbol of rebirth and a transformation of change: meaning out with the old and in with the new. Apparently the backyard butterfly was the old and the front yard butterfly is the new. 😉 I also love the rock too!!! Such texture…great photos….
