    • I love my garden! Peat pellets are compacted/dehydrated peat moss discs in a mesh netting. When you add hot water, they expand into miniature “soil” filled pots for starting plants. They are handy, but (in my opinion) too pricy. I start most of my plants in newspaper pots that I make myself, but I use the peat pellets for things in the onion family. I have a better onion survival rate with the pellets. It’s the only crop I’ve experienced better results with by using the discs.
