Back in July, when this bottle was emptied, I wanted to take a photo of it. I wasn’t able to do it at the time—the lighting sucked, and (maybe, or maybe not) I was a little tipsy. So… I stashed the bottle in my desk where it sat and waited, and waited, and waited some more, for a day with “dark and moody” light.
Ambience has the power to uplift your mood. What have you photographed with exceptional ambience?
On Wednesday, after two consecutive restless nights, I was not able to function properly at work, so I quit early and played with my camera instead.
I challenged myself to shoot the same thing—my work desk, chair and keyboard—ten different ways. I had also challenged myself to shoot all ten images in portrait orientation, but after I imported them to Lightroom, I realized that I had failed that part of the challenge. I absentmindedly shot one of my images in landscape. Oops!
Today, you get to see random glimpses of a (mostly) typical week for me. One of these photos, “soil test”, represents something that was a little out of the ordinary. I got to spend Wednesday afternoon with a group of gardeners and agriculture experts. It was pretty cool hanging out with others who get excited about dirt!
For week 40 of my project 365, I got up close and personal with some adorable plastic characters.
Happy Valentines day! This week, for my project 365, I give you my heart(s).
The theme of this week’s project 365 images is “crafty”.
